Who is Coral made for?
Coral was designed by a few intermediate second-language learners to help with our own studies. It's best as a companion to other studying, but casual learners can use it on its own.
Why no streaks?
Streaks are great at getting you to open an app and bad at helping you learn. Coral keeps track of what's due without punishing you for living your life. Nothing resets, nothing expires.
Another AI chat app?
No! We do offer a conversation feature, but it's one small tool in the Coral toolkit.
Does listening really count as studying?
Yes. Hearing your own vocab in both languages anchors it, and it fits easily into different parts of your day. Reading while listening and "shadowing" make it even better.
How does Coral use AI?
We use AI tools to build your focus lessons, voice your vocab, and facilitate conversation practice. We try to make it a tasteful assistant, not the main focus. More about it here.
